This is my favorite place in Puerto Escondido to get the best ‘camarón al aguachile’ and ‘tiritas de pescado.’ A hidden gem recommended by all the locals. Attentive service, fresh seafood and very affordable. Remember to get the aguachile or you will regret it.
I don't know all the seafood places in Puerto Escondido, but for me it is the best, the strips and sashimi are their specialty.
I highly recommend this place for an authentic seafood Mexican experience supporting local fishermen. What we ate and drank was fabulous (papaya juice, lemonade, the unexpected and complimentary spiced peanuts and tortilla chips and queso, and the fish ceviche and tacos). The service was extremely friendly and helpful for us who don’t speak Spanish. We sat on the lower porch/deck overlooking the bay which was cool and comfortable. Thank you to all at/with El Pescador, and for those who get to dine there- Enjoy!
